Development infrastructure for sustainable mobility solutions
The project “Development infrastructure for sustainable mobility solutions” includes:
Investments in the establishment of test infrastructure for battery cells and lightweight materials, production capacities for innovative testing systems, development offices, test laboratories, and prototype workshops.
Each branch of the 4a Group is investing in expanding office, laboratory, and production spaces to support the necessary product and innovation developments.
4a engineering is developing novel methods and products to characterize the thermal, electrical, and mechanical behavior of battery cells and conduct precise tests. These innovations enable faster and safer development of battery systems, contributing to the electrification of transportation and reducing CO2 emissions. Furthermore, the developed methods enable more efficient virtual simulation and contribute to sustainable resource utilization.
At 4activeSystems, development capacities are being expanded to streamline the testing process of driver assistance systems and automated driving functions. Automation and integration of simulations help reduce the required test scenarios, thereby contributing to efficient energy utilization in vehicles.
4a manufacturing is expanding development capabilities for antenna radomes and focusing on efficient communication technologies such as 5G and satellite communication. These new technologies improve the transmission performance of antennas and reduce energy consumption.
The investments lead to process optimization and digitization, enabling better connectivity of the value chain. Technologies like robotics and real-time production monitoring are being implemented. The companies utilize digital features such as sensors and measurement techniques to improve product properties.
Overall, these investments contribute to promoting eco-innovation by supporting sustainable mobility and efficient energy utilization. Through the development of new technologies and improvement of production processes, the companies can contribute to a more sustainable future and support the global Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
